The AFV Club 35167 Churchill Mk. III AVRE model in 1/35 scale is a faithful replica of the legendary British Army engineering vehicle from World War II. The AVRE (Assault Vehicle Royal Engineers) version of the Churchill Mk. III was developed after the Allied landings at Dieppe, as a result of cooperation between military engineering specialists and designers of the Churchill series. The purpose of this version was direct support for advancing troops, clearing obstacles, and destroying enemy fortifications, including bunkers and tank traps.

The Churchill Mk. III AVRE was mainly used by British engineer units during operations such as the Normandy landings (D-Day, 1944) and the battle for Caen. These vehicles were equipped with a 290 mm Petard mortar and additional accessories such as mine plows and bridge components. The vehicle was actively used from 1943, achieving success on the battlefields of Western Europe until the end of World War II.
