General information about the T-90A

The T-90A is one of the most advanced machines in Russian armored forces, introduced into service in 2004. It is a development of the earlier T-90, featuring a new welded turret and numerous modern active and passive defense systems, including Kontakt-5 reactive armor, the Shtora-1 laser warning system, and crew air conditioning. This model is primarily used by the Russian army, but it is also in service with India and several other countries.

Short historical overview and usage

The T-90A has seen combat since the 2000s, including during the Russian intervention in Syria and in the conflict in Ukraine, proving its effectiveness and resilience against modern battlefield threats.
