The MiG-21 is one of the most recognizable fighter jets of the 20th century – mass-produced since 1959 in the USSR, it was the backbone of the air forces of many armies worldwide for almost half a century. The radio altimeter sensors were a key component of this aircraft, especially in its early variants used during the Cold War for border patrols, reconnaissance missions, and combat operations in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Proper reproduction of these sensors increases the realism of any MiG-21 model, particularly in F-13, PF, or PFM variants in 1/48 scale.

The Quickboost QB48873 set stands out due to the quality of its surfaces, faithful reproduction of proportions and fine details, resulting in a realistic finished model. The resin parts can be easily adapted to most available MiG-21 kits in this scale, including those by renowned manufacturers such as Eduard, Academy, or Trumpeter.

We recommend this product for intermediate and advanced modelers (difficulty level 2/5), especially for those who value historical accuracy and precise detail execution. Quickboost QB48873 is an essential addition for all Cold War aviation enthusiasts striving for perfection in reproducing their miniature collections.
