Description and Historical Use
Marmon-Herrington Mk II armored cars were produced in the Union of South Africa from 1940 and widely used by British and Commonwealth units (mainly the South African Armoured Corps) on the North African fronts. They served as reconnaissance vehicles, especially during the famous battles around El Alamein and the desert campaigns of 1941–1943.
