Eduard 36106 Sd. Kfz.7/1 (late) Flak 38 20mm 1/35 Trumpeter – Photo-Etched Parts

The Eduard 36106 Sd. Kfz.7/1 (late) Flak 38 20mm 1/35 Trumpeter set is a professional modelling accessory designed to enhance the plastic model of the Sd.Kfz.7/1 vehicle with the 20mm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun in 1/35 scale, produced by Trumpeter. The kit includes two precisely crafted photo-etched sheets that allow for faithful replication of even the smallest, characteristic details of the vehicle and its gun equipment. The photo-etched parts are made from high-quality metal, ensuring excellent durability and ease of handling during assembly.

The Sd.Kfz. 7/1 is a German half-track artillery tractor equipped with the four-barrel 20mm Flakvierling 38 anti-aircraft gun. It was widely used by the Wehrmacht during World War II, especially from 1943 onwards, both for anti-aircraft defence of armoured units and convoys. Vehicles of this type saw combat on all fronts – from the Eastern Front, through the Western Front, to North Africa. "Late" refers to the late version, which featured numerous design changes and improvements.

  • Scale: 1/35
  • Intended use: Detailing the Trumpeter Sd. Kfz.7/1 (late) Flak 38 20mm model
  • User country: Germany (Third Reich)
  • Historical period: World War II
  • Material: photo-etched sheets, metal
  • Set components: 2 photo-etched sheets with details for the cockpit, chassis, armament, and exterior details

  • Dedicated to: advanced and intermediate modellers aiming for the highest level of realism
  • Recommendation: Highly recommended to enhance realism and add details not possible with standard out-of-the-box parts
  • Difficulty of assembly: 4/5 – requires experience with photo-etched parts and precise tools

The Eduard 36106 accessory allows you to achieve a contest-level model effect, eliminating factory simplifications and bringing out exceptional details both on the exterior and inside the vehicle. The final result will satisfy the most demanding collectors and enthusiasts of German wartime technology from World War II.

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
