Historical information:

The L11A5 120 mm gun was the main armament of the Chieftain tank, which entered service with the British Army at the end of the 1960s. Designed as the successor of the Centurion, the Chieftain represented the peak of British armoured warfare engineering during the Cold War period. It served from 1967 to 1995, being operated not only by the UK but also by Iran, Kuwait, Jordan, and Oman. Tanks equipped with the L11A5 gun participated in armed conflicts in the Middle East – including the Iran–Iraq war, where Iranian Chieftains were used on a large scale.

Applications and product advantages:

• High-quality resin detail allows for an accurate reproduction of the most important armament of the Chieftain tank
• Perfect for upgrading 1/35 scale plastic kits from various brands, such as Tamiya, Takom, or Trumpeter
• Surface smoothness and detail precision clearly exceed standard plastic parts available in basic kits
• Very easy assembly thanks to a well-thought-out design and high-quality casting

This product is highly recommended for intermediate and advanced modellers looking to enhance their replicas with realistic detail. We rate the assembly difficulty at 2 on a 1–5 scale – basic experience with resin is required. It is an excellent choice for hobbyists aiming for higher quality finish and for historical dioramas depicting the Cold War period.
