The M1001 and M1002 series vehicles were widely used by American forces stationed in Western Europe during the Cold War. Their main task was towing and operating Pershing-2 ballistic missile systems and providing logistical support for Patriot missile units during military tension between NATO and the Warsaw Pact. These trucks stood out for their high mobility, durability, and excellent transport capabilities, making them suitable for carrying military equipment as well as servicing rocket weapon systems.

Unique construction solutions, such as the multi-part cabin, complete drivetrain, and very accurately reproduced tires, make the final effect impressive even for the most advanced modelers.
