Eduard 481127 Seafire F. XVII exterior Airfix 1/48 – photo-etched set for the Airfix model

The Eduard 481127 Seafire F. XVII exterior photo-etched detail set is designed as a specialized enhancement for the exterior details of the popular British carrier-based fighter Supermarine Seafire F. XVII in 1/48 scale, intended for use with the Airfix kit. The advanced details in this set allow for an exceptional level of realism and faithful historical representation of a post-World War II aircraft, which was one of the most renowned aircraft of the Royal Navy's fleet air arm.

• Model scale: 1/48 – ideal for modelers who value a balance between size and detail.
• User country: United Kingdom – carrier-based fighter belonging to the Royal Navy.
• Historical period: postwar period, right after World War II (1945-1950). The Seafire F. XVII was mainly involved in postwar operations and patrol missions, being a development of the legendary Spitfire adapted for carrier service.
• Product application: The set is dedicated to the exterior elements of the model – such as flaps, slots, panels, and small surface details. It enables a faithful reproduction of the technical aspects of the aircraft, significantly enhancing both the aesthetic value and historical accuracy of the Airfix model.
• Material: photo-etched metal and resin. The use of durable metal ensures strength and precise, shaped details – much more realistic than those found in standard plastic sprues, while the resin parts enable the representation of non-standard components with complex shapes.
• Category: accessory set – photo-etched and resin details for 1/48 scale plastic models.
• Recommendation: Highly recommended for both experienced modelers and those at an intermediate level. The set increases the realism and visual appeal of the finished model, allowing it to stand out in model contests. An ideal choice for enthusiasts of British aviation and collectors of models from the late 1940s era.
• Construction difficulty level: 4/5 – requires experience working with photo-etched parts and skills in precise assembly of resin elements. The use of tools for cutting, bending, and attaching precise parts is recommended, as well as proficiency with cyanoacrylate glue.

The Eduard 481127 Seafire F. XVII exterior Airfix 1/48 set is a must-have for anyone seeking perfect detailing and authenticity in their British carrier-based Seafire F. XVII model. It allows you to enhance the kit with hard-to-find and highly detailed components, making the finished replica a true gem of any collection and an excellent display piece at modeling exhibitions.
