Panzer Art RE35-804 StuG III G Improvised Roof Armor 1/35

Panzer Art RE35-804 StuG III G improvised roof armor is a high-quality resin kit for additional turret roof armor, designed for 1/35 scale plastic models of the StuG III Ausf. G. This precisely recreated accessory allows for an accurate depiction of the improvised armor modifications implemented by German crews during World War II.

During the intense battles on the Eastern Front in 1943-1945, German self-propelled guns StuG III Ausf. G were often exposed to air attacks and anti-tank fire. To increase their chances of survival, crews improvised and added makeshift armor plates or other protective materials to the vehicle’s roof. Such modifications were widely documented, especially during the siege of Berlin and urban combat in the final months of the war. The improvised armor protected the crew from shrapnel and close detonations of grenades or mortar shells.
