Historical background

The Supermarine Seafang F.MK.32 was a British carrier-based naval fighter directly derived from the legendary Spitfire and the training-focused Spiteful. Developed at the end of World War II, it was an attempt to provide the Royal Navy with a modern propeller-driven machine with improved performance, carrier landing capabilities, and a Rolls-Royce Griffon engine. Seafang prototypes appeared in 1946, but the rapid development of jet fighters curtailed wider production. Ultimately, only a dozen or so units were built, and the aircraft served mainly for testing and pilot training during the post-war modernization of the Fleet Air Arm.

• Possibility to build the model in various weapons and cockpit configurations
